Depoz “Ink”

I first discovered Depoz several months ago, long before Keeme and I owned our first home. Long before this blog was ever even an idea. It was a discovery completely by chance- I was clicking random spots on the map at the time, looking for some place with build enabled so that I could rez something from my inventory. I ended up on a sim that had the most beautiful house nearby. Since I’ve always been interested in homes in SL, I went closer to see who it was built by and to look around. As it turned out, the house and everything in it was created by Mash Mandala and Baccara Rhodes.

Since I’ve gotten into the habit of checking the creator when I notice something interesting, I’ve seen Mash and Baccara’s names come up quite frequently. When I started Second Homes, I checked their profile picks to see if they had a store. As it turns out, theirs is one of the most extenstive I’ve come across since starting this blog.

Depoz is so large that it covers four sims, and is sectioned off into areas for furniture, textures, prefabs, garden, pool, camping.. and they even have a section for parties, weddings and catering in their Depoz Celebrations building.

Since the shopping area is so large and spread out, Mash and Baccara have provided shopping huds that you can use to help you find your way around easier. I’ll be honest and say I have not used them before, so I can’t really tell you how they work. I always prefer to take my time and walk around, no matter how large a store might be. But if you are in a hurry or have something specific you are looking for, they do have the shopping huds available at most of the store entrances and landing points of the sims.

One of the things that makes Depoz unique is their ‘build your own’ section in the store. This is great if you’re working on building your own home or furniture. They have several exterior options for things such as doors, windows and shutters. Also, closet insets for men, women and children.

There is also a great garage section for the guys, where you can get custom garage doors. And also, tool shelves and cabinets.

The kitchen/appliance section also has the same kind of option. Here, you can find complete kitchen sets that include all the shelving and appliances. Or you can buy each piece individually to customize your kitchen area yourself.

The next building over has all the furniture for living room, office and bedroom sets.

Also available are several different entertainment units and bookcases, if you want to dress up your living room or study. A lot of these are fairly low prim.

Outside in the garden center, you’ll find far more than just plants and flowers. There are tons of accessories for your yard, such as porch swings, trelis, fountains.. and this beautiful rose gazebo. Only 7 prims and $250! (Piano sold seperately)

As picture heavy as this post is, there is a lot more I was not able to get to. Come to Depoz and look around for yourself. If there is anything you are not able to find, I would be very surpised!
